I have always believed that looking into the eyes always shows something of the inner self. Portraits are landscapes of the psyche of someone else. The self portrait is the psyche of the artist. Open to original artworks in all media*, all themes, and all styles. *Works that rely on the internet for display or ceiling suspended artworks are not eligible. Limit 5 artworks created/completed in the past 2 years (2007-2009).This exhibit is juried by jpegs on 1 CD. The CD must be Mac and PC compatible; jpegs only; RGB color; minimum 800x800 pixels and not to exceed 1200x1200 pixels. Entry form required. CALL FOR DESIGN. Philadelphia-based designers are invited to submit their work for development into a removable wall decal for display during DesignPhiladelphia at the DWR Philadelphia Studio. Designs will be selected based on originality, ability to develop as decals (see below for details), and alignment with the enduring principles of modernism. The top five designs will be displayed at DWR Philadelphia during DesignPhiladelphia 2009. The winning design will be sold online by Surface Graphics, with all proceeds supporting Philadelphia Charter High School for Architecture + Design.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a fatal lung disease that primarily affects children and shortens their life expectancy to an average of 37 years old. The foundation is a privately funded by events like this! Please read the details below and let me know if you or anyone you know might be interested in participating. Also, if you would rather not be in the show but would like to donate a painting please let me know and I will be more than happy to accommodate.

We are seeking artists who have survived breast conditions that would like to share their experiences and stories through their works of art during Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October 2009.
